An automatic medicine packing machine having a prescription recognition function is provided to scan a medical prescription and prepare a medicine according to preparation data obtained by recognizing characters on the scanned medical prescription image. An automatic medicine packing machine(1) comprises the followings: a memory(40) where a program for recognizing the image of a preparation as characters is stored; a scanning unit(20) for reading the prescription as an image; and a controller(30) which recognizes clearly the preparation data through the character recognition program stored in the memory, and then controls so that preparation can be made according to the recognized preparation data. |
