<p>The invention relates to a system for starting a diesel engine with which a railway vehicle is equipped. According to the invention, the system comprises a direct current generator (1), used for driving a diesel engine (2), supplied from a storage battery (4), by means of a direct voltage variator (3) and that of some contacts (5) controlled by means of a control unit (7), by a subsystem (6) with microcontroller, which receives some signals (i1, i3, i2, i4, ii-j and id) relating to the temperature of the diesel engine (2), the speed thereof, the start-up current absorbed by the generator (1), the temperature of the battery (4), from some transducers (8, 10, 9 and 12), from an interface (11), respectively, from the direct voltage variator (3), the direct current generator having, at start, the function of direct current engine, disposing of an excitation (14) in series and of another excitation (15), supplied through a sense diode (16), there being provided the limitation to reduced values of the start-up current (ipp) and a pre-established start-up characteristic, corrected in real time for an optimal start of the diesel engine (2).</p> |
