PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image sensor capable of preventing such a phenomenon that a high-luminance subject blackens without increasing a chip size. SOLUTION: The image sensor which has a plurality of pixels 100 arrayed in a matrix form and readout lines 102 disposed by pixel columns to read signal voltages out of pixels by the pixel columns is provided with a reset current supply circuit 104 which supplies a reset current I2 for each readout line 102, the reset current supply circuit supplying the reset current I2 to a readout line 102 so that when a reset voltage is read out of the pixel, the sum of a reset current I1 supplied from the pixel to the readout line 102 and the reset current I2 supplied from the reset current supply circuit to the readout line 102 becomes constant.
