PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retreating device for an unmanned conveying vehicle capable of easily retreating the unmanned conveying vehicle to the outside of a traveling passage in a short time. SOLUTION: When the unmanned conveying vehicle 11 is abnormally stopped during passing below a plurality of trucks C in a predetermined section S, a part of a rail 12 is engaged with an engagement member 14 of the unmanned conveying vehicle 11 by raising the rail 12 by a lever 20 by a worker. Subsequently, the worker operates a traction member 26 for a traction fixture 24 and moves a connection member 25 along the rail 12 to connect it to the engagement member 14 of the unmanned conveying vehicle 11. At this time, a drive part of the unmanned conveying vehicle 11 is automatically released by a release mechanism. Thereafter, the worker tracts the connection member 25 through the traction member 26 of the traction fixture 24, thereby, the unmanned conveying vehicle 11 is moved in the traveling direction along the rail 12 and draws out it from below the plurality of trucks C.
