SOLUTION: This vehicle operation supporting device for supporting collision avoiding operation performed by a driver to avoid a collision with obstacles during traveling of a vehicle is provided with an obstacle detecting means 801 for detecting an obstacle before the vehicle; a collision determination means 802 for determining the possibility that the vehicle may collide with the obstacle based on the traveling condition of the vehicle and the condition of the obstacle; a road surface condition estimating means 803 for estimating the road surface condition during traveling; and an deceleration control means 804 for controlling the deceleration of the vehicle based on the possibility of the collision and the estimated road surface condition.
