<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric deionizer which uses a filler having a function and strength equal to or more than those of ion exchange resin filling a desalting chamber and/or a concentration chamber of the conventional electric deionizer, and having ionic conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: The electric deionizer 1 is made by arraying a plurality of anion exchange membranes 5 and cation exchange membranes 4 between the cathode 6 and the anode 7 to form desalting chambers 2 and concentration chambers 3.
