PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type mower mitigating the burden on the body of its user, enabling efficient mowing, and enabling its user's safety to be improved. SOLUTION: The walking-type mower 1 comprises an operating lever 11, a grip 10 an a safety cover 13; wherein the safety cover 13 is attached with angle-controllable first sliding auxiliaries 14a-14d, the grip 10 is attached with an angle-controllable second handle 10b, and the safety cover 13, which has a gathered grass container-attaching element enabling attaching of a gathered grass container for cut grass, and can attach the gathered grass container.
