PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt and a method for manufacturing the same by which gas generated is effectively removed to the outside of a mold, the occurrence of a local bulge is avoided and a product is simply removed from the mold. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the belt comprises a film formation step in which a resin coating film is formed by coating a thermosetting resin solution on the surface of a cylindrical core body 1, a thermosetting resin film formation step in which the resin coating film is heated to form a thermosetting resin film 7 and a step in which the thermosetting resin film 7 is removed from the cylindrical core body 1. A cylindrical slide member 2 which is movable on the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical core body 1 along its axial direction is arranged at the both ends of the cylindrical core body 1 in the axial direction. A gas passage 3 extending in the axial direction is arranged at both ends of the cylindrical core body 1. In the thermosetting resin film formation step, the gas given off upon heating the thermosetting resin film 7 is vented to the outside through the gas passage 3 by moving the slide member 2 along the axis direction.
