PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow careful closing action of a lid without damaging the leading end of an important object stored in a case and to allow speedy opening action of the lid when the stored object is taken out. SOLUTION: The adjustable case 1 comprises an inner case 2 and an outer case 3 having cylindrical bodies 21 and 31, respectively, of a regular dodecahedral cross-section and approximately 0.8 mm thickness, formed by direct blow molding method using a PET resin. The cylindrical body 21 of the inner case 2 has a size sufficient to be accommodated in the cylindrical body 31 of the outer case 3. The cylindrical body 21 has lines 22 to 24 of semispherical projections arranged in the axial directions along three central angles formed at an interval of 120°. Screw grooves 32 are formed in the lower end of the cylindrical body 31 of the outer case 3. The height of the projections formed in lines 22 to 24 on the inner case 2 is such that the projections fit into the screw grooves 32.
