The present invention relates to a traffic information providing system and method which selects and groups image data required for a user to efficiently provide the user with image data collected from a plurality of Closed-Circuit Televisions (CCTVs) using a unidirectional broadcast channel without using a separate return channel and to efficiently transmit the image data.
