RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE AND PNEUMATIC TIRE

A rubber composition for tires which comprises: a rubber ingredient comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of natural rubber (NR), epoxidized natural rubber (ENR), and deproteinized natural rubber (DPNR); silica; and a silane compound represented by the general formula (X)_n-Si-Y_(4-n) (wherein X represents methoxy or ethoxy, Y represents phenyl or linear or branched alkyl, and n is an integer of 1-3). Also provided is a pneumatic tire made with the composition. This rubber composition is suitable for use in producing the bead apex rubber and base tread rubber of a tire.
