<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synechia preventive material satisfying desired properties, exhibiting synechia preventive effects which can not be obtained by conventional technologies. <P>SOLUTION: The synechia preventive material is characterized by being produced from genetically modified gelatin.
