PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system capable of automatically switching terminal stations installed on the front side and rear side of a vehicle matched with the advancing direction of a train without the need of manual aid of a crew or the like and without the need of complicated software or the like. SOLUTION: The wireless communication system relating to this invention includes the terminal stations 2 and 3 installed in the vehicle 100 and base stations 12 and 13 installed outside the vehicle. A radio frequency f1 is set to the terminal station 2 and the base station 12. A radio frequency f2 is set to the terminal station 3 and the base station 13. The terminal stations 2 and 3 and the base stations 12 and 13 have antennas 2a, 3a, 12a and 13a respectively having directivity. When the vehicle 100 moves in a down direction, the terminal station 2 is positioned at a vehicle position to be the rear side of the moving direction.
