PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry out a tensile process after a terminal 21 of an electric wire 20 is inserted into an insertion part 11 of a connector housing 10, in a terminal insert work equipped with a tensile process which pulls the terminal 21 towards an opposite direction from an insertion method to the insertion part 11, and checks an existence of poor engagement. SOLUTION: The terminal insert auxiliary device is provided with an insertion detection means 62 for detecting insertion of the terminal 21 into an insertion part 11 of the connector housing 10 retained by the retaining member 40, a tensile detection means 64 detecting that the terminal 21 inserted in the insertion part 11 of the connector housing 10 is pulled, and an insert status judging means to judge an insertion status of the terminal 21 to be proper when insertion of the terminal 21 is detected by the insertion detection means 62 and tensile of the terminal 21 is detected by the tensile detection means 64.
