<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for failure search in which a service engineer visits a customer, reads failure information displayed on an information terminal device, refers to a technical material, and calls a technical stuff of a maintenance service company. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal device converts the failure sign information about a failure detected in its own device into two-dimensional bar-code, and displays 2-dimensional bar-code information. A mobile terminal reads the displayed 2-dimensional bar-code information. After adding suspicious parts request flag information and action procedure request flag information to the read information, the added information is transmitted to an information providing device. The providing device extracts suspicious parts information or action procedure information, or combined information thereof on the basis of the transmitted information.
