PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a high stage heat exchanger and a low stage heat exchanger under optimal high pressure, while using two compressors having the same suction volume, in a multifunctional heat pump having the hot water supply and heating function. SOLUTION: This heat pump device has a refrigerant circuit connected in order of the low stage compressor 2, the high stage compressor 3, the high stage heat exchanger 4, a first expansion valve 5, a second expansion valve 6 and an evaporator 7, and has a refrigerant pipe for connecting a pipe between the low stage compressor 2 and the high stage compressor 3 to a pipe between the first expansion valve 5 and the second expansion valve 6, and the low stage heat exchanger 8 in the refrigerant pipe, and has a bypass pipe 9 for respectively connecting inlet refrigerant pipes of the high stage heat exchanger 4 and the low stage heat exchanger 9, and a flow regulating valve 10 in the bypass pipe 9.
