PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium and a display device with which a halftone is easily adjusted. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a display medium and a means to impart an electric field to the display medium. The display medium is equipped with: a display substrate having a light transmitting property; a rear substrate placed opposite to the display substrate holding a gap in between; a dispersion medium sealed between the display substrate and the rear substrate; a first particle group which is dispersed in the dispersion medium and migrates therein in accordance with an electric field formed between the substrates; and a porous structural body which is arranged between the display substrate and the rear substrate, has a plurality of pores through which the first particle group pass, has optical reflection characteristics different from those of the first particle group, and has light transmittance getting higher as going closer from the rear substrate side to the display substrate side.
