LAMINATED CERAMIC ELECTRONIC PART AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A laminated ceramic electronic part comprising a ceramic element, a set of external electrodes, a glass layer and an insulator layer. The ceramic element includes a ceramic layer and multiple internal electrode layers having portions thereof protruding from two edges of the ceramic layer, superimposed on the ceramic layer. The external electrodes each have an underlayer and, provided on the external side thereof, a plating layer, and are laid outside the ceramic element, being in electrical connection with the internal electrode layers. The glass layer covers portions of the surface of the ceramic element other than the portion connected to the external electrodes. The insulator layer consists of a material different from that of the glass layer and is provided so as to divide the zone between two edges, furnished with the external electrodes, of the ceramic element while covering at least an area superior to the glass layer.
