<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex of a nano-crystal - metal oxide which is excellent in light stability and chemical stability and can improve luminous efficiency and product reliability when applied as luminescent materials of various kinds of electric elements, while maintaining the excellent luminescent property and the electric characteristics of the nano-crystal itself. <P>SOLUTION: The complex of the nano-crystal - metal oxide is characterized in that the nano-crystal can be fully blended with the precursor of the metal-oxide, and moreover, the luminescent property and the electric characteristics of the nano-crystal itself are maintained as they are, and the replacement can be carried out by at least two kinds of surface active agents.
