PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping device capable of capturing an arc surface of a round workpiece such as a CD at uniform contact pressure and remounting the workpiece on an inspection device while aligning the workpiece. SOLUTION: In the workpiece clamping device, pressed contact sections 18, 19, 20, and 21 for pressurizing and abutting left and right arc surfaces 14 and 15 of the round workpiece 10 at pressed contact points P1, P2, P3 and P4 are respectively provided on a pair of clampers 16 and 17. One end of a pair of links 22 and 23 is pivotally connected on the clampers 16 and 17 via pivoting points 24 and 26, and the other end of the links 22 and 23 is pivotally connected on movable brackets 11 and 12 via pivoting points 25 and 27. The workpiece 10 is captured by pressurizing and abutting the pressed contact sections on the left and right arc surfaces 14 and 15 of the round workpiece 10 while starting to turn via the pivoting points of the links 22 and 23 and clampers 16 and 17 by pushing the clampers 16 and 17 with sections 28 and 29 arranged on the movable brackets 11 and 12.
