The invention relates to a drainage pump unit for evacuating bodily fluid s by means of a suction pump. Said unit comprises a drainage pump device wit h a pump housing (4) for receiving the suction pump and a fluid collection c ontainer (5) that can be removably fixed to the pump housing (4). The draina ge pump unit also has a pump-side connection unit (2) with a connecting elem ent for connection to a patient-side drainage tube (10). The connection part (2) is removably held on the pump housing (4) and has a connecting piece (2 0), onto which a connection opening (54) of the fluid collection container ( 5) can be pushed. Alternatively, the connection part (2) can have a connecti on opening, into which a connecting piece of the fluid collection container (5) can be inserted. The connecting element and the connecting piece (20) or connection opening are interconnected by means of a drainage channel (24) t hat runs through the connection part (2). The drainage pump unit permits the replacement of the fluid collection container without the removal of the dr ainage tube and thus without disturbing the patient.
