PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring gear machined with high accuracy, and provide a manufacturing method of a ring gear for manufacturing the ring gear accurately. SOLUTION: The bevel ring gear 1 includes a tooth 2, and a flat surface 3 provided on the teeth 2. The flat surface 3 is formed in a position which passes an intersection O1 of a pitch conical line A1 of the tooth 2 and a center axis Z1 of the ring gear 1, and apart from a straight line K1 orthogonal to the center axis Z1 by a predetermined distance H1 in an axial direction.
