PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum superheated steam apparatus capable of heating an object to be heated with vacuum superheated steam under the atmospheric pressure or lower, that is, superheated steam at a temperature of 100°C or lower. SOLUTION: A superheated steam supply pipe 3 is connected to a sealed horizontally long cylindrical tank 1 via a superheated steam supply port 2, and a superheater 5 is interposed in the superheated steam supply pipe 3. Sucking means 12 is connected to the lower part of the cylindrical tank 1. The sucking means 12 is constituted of an ejector 13, a circulation water tank 14 and a circulation pump 15. When the object to be heated is heated inside the cylindrical tank 1, the pressure inside the tank 1 is retained in the pressure state of the atmospheric pressure or lower by the sucking means 12, and the superheated steam under prescribed pressure and at prescribed temperature is fed through the superheated steam supply pipe 3, so that the object to be heated can be heated with the superheated steam at a temperature 100°C or lower.
