According to implementations of the present invention, the ductile material for forming the ductile insert is or comprises a nonmetallic mat, in particular a textile mat or a prepreg mat. Implementations of the present invention also relate to an injection molding process and a compression molding process for producing molded parts, in particular decorative parts and/or trim parts for the passenger compartment of a vehicle, the molded parts comprising a support of plastic, a decorative layer and a ductile insert of ductile material.
