This invention provides an apparatus for measuring the concentration of components by blood collection through laser beam piercing, which apparatus can prevent the leakage of an offensive smell generated during laser piercing and can improve the convenience of users. The component concentration measuring apparatus comprises a body (2). The body (2) is provided with a laser device, a focusing lens, an analyzer for analyzing components of a body fluid by an enzymatic reaction with an analyte reagent, a laser operating button (5), a display (3), a display switching button (4), a chargeable battery, and an electric circuit for the analysis of the concentration of components by the operation of the laser and the output from the analyzer and provided with a memory for storing analysis results. A slide sheet (6) comprising a film provided on an optical axis of a laser beam and an insertion holder (7) of which the interior is in a hollow state are inserted into the body (2). A biosensor (8) comprising a film provided on the optical axis of a laser beam is set so that the protrusions of the insertion holder (7) are fitted into the opening of the biosensor (8). |
