PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit having a dry sump lubrication device which miniaturizes the power unit and reduces a pump loss. ; SOLUTION: The power unit P has the dry sump lubrication device in which a unit case 31 forms a crank chamber C for rotatably supporting a crank shaft 30 while directing it in a direction of movement of a vehicle and a transmission chamber M on a lateral side thereof for rotatably supporting a gear shift shaft 46 and at least one of the front and rear of the unit case is covered by a unit case cover 100. An oil tank 120 is installed on an outside in a longitudinal direction near the crank chamber C in the unit case cover 100, and a hydraulic control device 160 for controlling a gear shift clutch 55 is installed on the same outside in the longitudinal direction near the transmission chamber M. ; COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT.
