The device has an expandable bag connected to a gas generator (17) through a membrane seal. A base (1) has a lateral flange (8) with an orifice (20) for engagement of the generator inside a rigid frame (3) below and parallel to a transversal thickening tube (10). A frangible confinement cover (18) is adapted against the flange (8) on an outer side of the frame, by transversal extension with respect to the generator using hooks to immobilize the cover with respect to the frame after engagement of the generator in the orifice.
