The invention relates to a sausage packaging apparatus for filling pasty stuffing material into tubular casing material. Said sausage packaging apparatus comprises a stuffing tube (1) which ends in a stuffing zone (5) and is provided with a receiving device for shirred tubular casing material (80) on the outer face thereof such that in order to stuff a sausage (8), the casing material (80) that is closed on one side is pulled off the stuffing tube (1) as a result of the pressure applied by the stuffing material (85) and is closed with the aid of a closing mechanism (2) upon reaching a certain size. The inventive sausage packaging apparatus also comprises a discharge mechanism (4) for the stuffed sausage (8), which encompasses a belt conveyor (40). The disclosed apparatus is characterized in that the belt conveyor (40) is provided with a speed-controlled drive unit (43) that is actuated by a control module (64) of a control unit (6) while a growth measuring device for the sausage (8) is provided. Said growth measuring device encompasses speed indicating means (7) that are disposed in the stuffing zone (5), an evaluation unit (67) for determining a growth rate of the sausage (8), and a synchronizing unit (62) which triggers the control module (64) such that synchrony is obtained between the speed of the belt conveyor (40) and the growth rate. The invention allows the casing material (80) to be evenly pulled off the stuffing tube (1), resulting in an improved stuffing quality of the sausages (8) produced in this manner. |
