A process and mold for creating a skin supplied with at least one item is provided to form a skin on a viewing surface. A process for producing the skin comprises a step of disposing one or more items(8) on a functional embossed surface(3') of a female part(3) of a molding unit(1); a step of arranging the functional embossed surface of the female part of the molding unit and the surface of the preheated skin; a step of closing the molding unit in gastight manner; a step of ventilating the air from the male portion(4) against the female part; a step of applying the vacuum force in the functional embossed surface of the female part; and a step of removing the air between the skin and functional embossed surface.
