PURPOSE:To enable a paper and to be securely detected when an irregular movement of the paper occurs, by energizing a detecting lever toward a fall-in part when the lever is used at the second position. CONSTITUTION:A paper 10 is passed in contact with a paper end detecting part 20a of the detecting lever 20 turnably supported, and when the end of the paper is passed through the detecting part 20a, restriction by the paper 10 is released, and at least a part of an operating part 21 of the lever 20 enters into the fall-in part of a hole 24, and the movement of the lever 20 causes a sensor to operate. The lever 20 can be used selectively at the first position close to the fall-in part and at the second position where it is raised further from the first position, according to a feeding passage for the paper 10. Further, an energizing means for energizing the lever 20 toward the fall-in part at least when the lever 20 takes the second position is provided, whereby the lever 20 is returned to the second position even in the presence of irregular movement of the paper 10. |
