A liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce the generation of heat from a driving circuit, and reduce the deterioration of display quality. A first substrate has a plurality of scanning signal lines(GL), a plurality of image signal lines(DL1,DL2), a plurality of switching elements, and a plurality of pixel electrodes. A second substrate has an opposing electrode. Liquid crystal material is placed between the first substrate and the second substrate. A display area is set with a first switching element, a fist pixel electrode(PX1) connected to the first switching element, a second switching element, and a second electrode connected to the second switching element.
