Controller has a digital display with which a stitck is manually chosen, a second digital display on which the type of material to be sewn is selected and which indicates the type of needle to be used, a third display indicating the width and length of the stitch, the tension of the upper thread, and the type of foot to be used, and a card reader with an associated display controlling part of the machine. The card reader and auxiliary manual controls pref. regulate the position of the needle and the transport of the material.
