A mobile terminal for conveniently connecting web and a controlling method thereof are provided to simplify a key operation by web connection by directly connecting a web site through a shortcut key and authenticate login automatically by previously registering login authentication information. An address of a website and a shortcut key corresponding to the website are registered(S120). Login authentication information required for the log-in of website is registered(S140). When inputting the shortcut key, a user login by using the address of the website and login authentication information. The user directly connects the website through the shortcut key.
