A mobile terminal message barcode conversion system without constructing additional system for producing a bar code image and a method thereof are provided to reduce an amount of data and a cost by processing a barcode as an image and transmitting the barcode through an MMS. A mobile terminal DB(101) obtains information whether to download a barcode conversion program or a barcode font. A bar code font DB(103) obtains one or more bar code font. The program for the barcode conversion converts the bar code character string regulated previously in received SMS into the corresponding bar code font. |
