<p>A ground fabric is woven by folding back the woven yarns to become warps on a paper machine on a weaving machine, thereby to form end jointing loops at two ear portions. In this case, it is intended to correct the shape of the loops formed in the state inclined in the thickness direction, easily thereby to improve the workability of the jointing work. At the loop edge portions on one end side corresponding to the ear portions where the woven yarns to become the warps on the paper machine are obliquely folded back on the weaving machine, the paired warps forming the loops constitute woven layers, in which the paired warps forming the loops are independent of each other.
