<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat display device having a cathode electrode having a passivation function by forming an aluminum film to have a dense thin film structure. <P>SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent display device has an anode electrode 220, an organic thin film 230, and a cathode electrode 240 which are sequentially formed on a substrate 210. The cathode electrode 240 comprises at least two thin films each made of the same material and having a different density or grain size. At least the lower-side film of the two films of the cathode electrode 240 comprises a first Al thin film 241 having a lower density and a larger grain size, and the upper film comprises a second Al thin film 242 having a higher density and a smaller grain size relative to the first Al thin film 241. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
