<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for checking the volume of material in the form of a thin layer of a powdery substance filling the pockets of a blister pack. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the following steps: bringing (40) a blister pack 5 to the measuring area 9 of a measuring system 3, the blister pack comprising a plurality of pockets 11, which are reflective and filled with a thin layer of a powdery substance; exposing (42) the powdery substance 13 to near-infrared radiation; recording (44) at least partial ranges of an actual reflectance spectrum 25b for each pocket 11 by detecting the radiation reflected from the pocket 11; calculating (46) actual values associated with the intensities displayed in the actual reflection spectrum 25b for at least partial ranges of the actual reflectance spectrum 25b; comparing (48), in at least partial ranges of the actual reflectance spectrum 25b, the calculated actual values with corresponding reference values; and checking (50) the ratio of the layer thickness to the density of the powdery substance 13 as a function of the results of the comparison. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
