<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can suppress the effects of diffracted stray light, and to provide an optical disk drive. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk drive 1, a reflected light beam L13 is diffracted by a split light guide section 47 as a blazed HOE (holographic optical element), which is formed with a saw tooth shape diffraction grating in multiple stages; split light beams L17C and L17D which are primary light beams are received by detection regions 32C and 32D, and reflected light beams L14 and L15 are received by detection areas 32I and 32L as second light-receiving sections which are prepared farther than the detection areas 32C and 32D, if the extension of an optical axis of a reflected light beam L12 is defined as the center; and in the split light guide section 47, the grating angle of a diffraction grating in light guide areas 47C and 47D is set so that the diffracted stray light UM which is higher-order diffraction light beam of high intensity is not received by the detection regions 32I and 32L which are the second light receiving sections, while the split light beam L17C and the L17D are received by the detection regions 32C and 32D. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
