PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp unit for a vehicle capable of having a board for a fluorescent lamp unit in common in spite of types of light-adjusting, without the noise generated from wires of an operation switch. SOLUTION: When performing light-adjusting, by preparing frequencies of 55 kHz and 90 kHz for operating a switching circuit 12, the fluorescent lamp unit 1 for a vehicle having a stepped light-adjusting function, a continuous light-adjusting function, or a non-light-adjusting function can be used by a single circuit board in various ways as luminous intensity of a fluorescent lamp 3 is adjusted, by making use of a plurality of frequencies and one of the frequencies is enabled to be selected and fixed.
