PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method for determining servo parameters when accessing an optical disk. SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of changing the value of a writing parameter from a first writing parameter to a second writing parameter when data are written in the optical disk; a step of reading the data from the optical disk with a first reading parameter; a step of reading the data from the optical disk with a second reading parameter; a step of acquiring a quality measured value corresponding to each combination of reading parameters and writing parameters; and a step of selecting the optimal reading parameter and the optimal writing parameter for accessing the optical disk based on the quality measured value.
