PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable assembly capable of comfortably removing a cable jacket while neglecting a space on the surroundings of laid optical fibers and external wound for the optical fibers. SOLUTION: The optical cable assembly is prepared by covering a plurality of optical elements 12a, 12b with tension member 11 with the cable jacket 13, wherein the cable jacket 13 is integrally provided with a cuttable protrusion part 13a protruded outward in the folded state in the longitudinal direction and a tape material 14 which is non-adhesive for the cable jacket 13 is put into a folded part 13b on the inner surface of the protrusion part 13a.
