PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered roller bearing capable of securing strength of a collar part, extending length in the roller axial direction and increasing a rated load. SOLUTION: This tapered roller bearing is furnished with: an inner ring 51; an outer ring 52; a plurality of tapered rollers 53 arranged free to roll between the inner ring; and the outer ring 52 and a holder 54 to hold the tapered rollers with circumferential prescribed intervals, wherein a collar part 56 for guiding the tapered rollers 53 is provided only at a large diametrical side of the outer diametrical surface of the inner ring 51. The holder 54 is furnished with a large diametrical side ring part 61, a small diametrical side ring part 62 and a column part 63 to connect the large diametrical side ring part 61 and the small diametrical side ring part 62 to each other. A hooking part 65 to project to the inner diametrical side is provided on the large diametrical side ring part 61. A cutout part 66 with which the hooking part 65 is engaged is provided on the outer end side in the axial direction of an outer diametrical surface of the collar part 56. A diametrical direction clearance M1 which is the same as or smaller than relative approaching quantity to be allowed of an inner diametrical end 65a of the hooking part 65 and the cutout part 66, is provided between the inner diametrical end 65a of the hooking part 65 and a bottom wall 66a of the cutout part 66.
