<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the hardness and mechanical strength of a golf club head by manufacturing at least a head member utilizing a titanium alloy. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method is constituted to include the step of preliminarily manufacturing at least a head member with the titanium alloy, the step of heating the head member to higher than a critical temperature which begins to generate martensite, the step of maintaining the temperature of the head member at higher than the critical temperature within 30 minutes, the step of quickly dropping the temperature of the head member below the critical temperature at a cooling speed of more than 10°C/S, the step of heating the head member to the temperature of heat treatment and maintain the temperature of the head member at the temperature of heat treatment of higher than 450°C for at least an hour, and the step of cooling down the head member to room temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
