The invention relates to the rolling mill fitment for transmitting the torque from the coupling spindle to the rolling mill roll. The device contains a spindle coupling half (2) with a bore (3) for accepting the journal (4) of the rolling mill roll (1) and also contains at least one sprung key (7) for keying the journal (4) of the rolling mill roll (1) in the bore (3) of the spindle coupling half (2). At least one groove (8) having guide elements (9) for the key (7) is formed in the internal surface of the bore (3) of the spindle coupling half (2) in the axial direction of the latter. The key (7) is provided with a device for locking it against longitudinal displacement in the groove (8) of the spindle coupling half (2). The device is used to key and unkey the journal of the rolling mill roll in the spindle coupling half without assembly and disassembly of the device. <IMAGE>
