A sensor module body includes: a pressure sensor (24) which detects an air pressure in a tire; and a temperature sensor (25) which detects a temperature in a tire. A CPU (21) operates with a high frequency clock and instructs the pressure sensor (24) and the temperature sensor (25) to acquire in-tire information. After this, the CPU (21) operates with a low frequency clock until the pressure sensor (24) and the temperature sensor (25) are stabilized. Moreover, the CPU (21) operates with a high frequency clock to transmit the in-tire information acquired by the pressure sensor (24) and the temperature sensor (25) to an external reception device at a constant time interval. After the in-tire information is transmitted, the CPU (21) operates with a low frequency clock until a predetermined time period elapses.
