PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for organic electron devices improving the contact between an organic semiconductor layer and an SD electrode side, especially a source that is the electrode for organic thin-film transistors, the modification material of a drain electrode surface, a modification method, and an organic electron device and an organic thin-film transistor (TFT) using them, and a method of manufacturing an organic electron device and an organic TFT, and hence to obtain an organic TFT having high mobility and ON/OFF ratio and excellent transistor performance. SOLUTION: In the electrode for an organic electron device, surface modification is performed to an electrode surface with aπ-conjugated system cyclic compound so that aπconjugated plane is arranged substantially in parallel with the electrode surface in the organic electron device having at least one patterned electrode and an organic active layer.
