The steering wheel has deformation areas and a ring element with spokes (3,4,5). The ring element (2) surrounds the tubular ring (9) and is formed by a steel tube whilst the deformation areas (10, 11, 12) are provided solely on the tubular ring whereby the light metal alloy spokes are cast in areas out from the ring. - The deformation areas can be formed by cross-sectional flattened areas from the ring.
