<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure accurately a load influence on a bearing body, without changing a design of the bearing body comprising inner and outer rings 12, 13 or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A strain gage 17 is stuck on the surface of the fixed outer ring 13, and a lead wire 19 is drawn out of the gage 17 to the outside. Since the strain gage 17 is stuck directly on the outer ring, measurement accuracy is high. A groove 21 for storing the strain gage 17 and the lead wire 19 is formed on the inner surface of a housing 11. Since the housing generally has a constitution having sufficient strength, a problem of strength seldom occurs by formation of the groove. Hereby, the load effect on the bearing body can be measured accurately without changing the design of the bearing body comprising the inner and outer rings or the like. Data are generated beforehand from mutual relation between a radial load in this bearing load measuring device and a detection value from the strain gage based on deflection of the outer ring, and the detection value by the strain gage when being mounted is compared with the data, to thereby measure the radial load of the bearing when being mounted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
