摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a rotary electric machine enhanced in demagnetization resistance while suppressing cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: The rotor 104 includes a rotor core 105 and permanent magnets 111, 112, 121, 122 embedded in the rotor core. The permanent magnet 111 includes a first surface which is mainly a plane surface toward a stator side and a second surface which is a reverse surface of the first surface wherein the second surface has a shape so that both ends in the direction orthogonal with the magnetization direction of the permanent magnet are thickened in the magnetization direction from the center part at both ends, in cross section orthogonal with the rotary shaft 106, that is a cross section shown in Fig.1. The cross section orthogonal with the rotary shaft of the permanent magnet is substantially rectangular and a recessed part is provided to the center part of the side included in the second surface of rectangular four sides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
