PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an inkjet printer which can carry out printing to recording media of various materials by a good fixability. SOLUTION: A heating lamp unit 40 is carried on a head carriage 10 of the inkjet printer 1. The heating lamp unit 40 is positioned right close to an ink liquid droplet which is ejected from an inkjet head 11 and strikes at the recording medium 30. The ink liquid droplet can be directly heated and hardened, and therefore the ink liquid droplet can be efficiently fixed. Although there rises the risk of clogging of nozzles of the inkjet head 11 due to heat radiation of the heating lamp unit 40 or of thermal damage of the inkjet head itself when the heating lamp unit 40 is disposed right close to the inkjet head 11, heating of the inkjet head can be prevented because the heating lamp unit 40 can be efficiently cooled by a cooling mechanism 50 which circulates a coolant to a coolant circulation pipe 51 by a coolant circulation pump 52.
